WhatsApp DOWN: Chat app not working - hundreds of report service temporarily unavailable

WHATSAPP users are reporting issues tonight with the app down and not working. Many have taken to social channels to report the service is temporarily unavailable.

Error: whatsapp is temporarily unavailable. please try again in 5 minutes

WhatsApp is currently down across the UK, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and other parts of the world, according to hundreds of reports from users.
Fans have been left unable to access the hugely popular service with many saying they are seeing the message 'temporarily unavailable'.
The Facebook-owned chat app started to experience problems with its service at around 10pm tonight.
Independent website Down Detector, which tracks social comments around a certain topic to monitor outages across the globe, has mapped the problems.
Down Detector shows hundreds of WhatsApp users experiencing connection issues.

One user posted a message saying: "Whatsapp keeps saying temporarily unavailable try again in 5 minutes."
Another person having issues added: "I got my new phone today and it keeps saying "temporarily unavailable, try again in 5 minutes" I tried restarting my router and my phone still the same message. I deleted it off my old phone to see if that made a difference but nothing!"
Some WhatsApp users have also taken to Twitter to complain about the problems with one tweeting the message: "I try for almost an hour to install WhatsApp on my phone but every time the app reports this message "WhatsApp is temporarily not available. Please try again in five minutes". But even I try every 5 minutes, the app doesn't work at all."
We can't say why Whatsapp is facing this issue and down time since a long long time!
